The story on the back

Turning scraps into strength.

On the back is La Nouvelle Liberté, the 12-metre statue that greets you at the Deïdo roundabout in Douala. Sculptor Joseph-Francis Sumégné built it from scrap metal, honouring a city that knows how to make something out of nothing. Once mocked as a monster, it is now the symbol of Douala.
